They say that to speak a language is to take on a world, but for people from different cultural backgrounds living in Western spaces it’s easier said than done. Speaking to her mother, a young Korean migrant, and a Wiradjuri woman, Bernadette Nguyen seeks to find out how much of the world multilingual people can take on.
My Mother Tongue (2020) is a documentary radio story made for the Community Broadcasting Association Australia's National Documentary Features Series, an annual mentoring program and showcase of new work by Australian community radio producers.
